Production planned around how long things last
Studio Lantern Solutions produces video, photography and editorial content for brands across Los Angeles. Every engagement begins with what the asset has to do and how long it needs to keep doing it.
Video Production
Brand films, product video and campaign content, planned around intended lifespan rather than around a quantity somebody put in a brief.
- Lifespan agreed before the shoot
- Modular edits from one shoot day
- Raw footage handed over
- Twelve month performance tracking
Photography
Product, lifestyle and editorial photography shot to cover a defined period rather than a single campaign, with usage rights written plainly.
- Shot list built from real need
- Usage rights stated in writing
- Full resolution files transferred
- Library organised and tagged
Editorial and Written Content
Long-form and written content built to hold value beyond its publication week, with the pieces most likely to date flagged before they are commissioned.
- Evergreen and dated pieces separated
- Refresh schedule recommended
- Written to be updated, not replaced
- Published in your own systems
Content Strategy
What to make, how much and how often, built on what your existing assets actually achieved rather than on a channel calendar somebody inherited.
- Existing library audited first
- Volume recommendations, usually lower
- Channel fit assessed honestly
- Sold as standalone work
Asset Library Management
Organising what you already own so it can be found and reused, which is frequently cheaper and more effective than commissioning new production.
- Existing assets catalogued
- Reuse opportunities identified
- Rights and expiry tracked
- Handed over with training
Performance Reporting
Twelve month tracking on every asset we produce, reported honestly, including the pieces that stopped working almost immediately and why we think they did.
- Twelve month tracking window
- Failures reported alongside wins
- Available on assets we did not make
- Informs the next production plan
What sits inside a production quote
Crew, by role and day. Not a single production figure but each position and its rate, so you can see where the cost sits and which roles are genuinely necessary for the piece.
Location, permits and insurance, quoted with the lead time each requires, because a permit timeline missed is a shoot day lost.
Post-production by asset, separated so the flagship piece and the supporting cuts carry their own edit costs rather than being pooled.
Usage rights and talent buyouts, stated by territory and duration. These expire, and an asset whose rights have lapsed has a shelf life set by contract rather than by attention.
Our fee as a separate line, never folded into supplier costs.
Find out what your existing content is still doing
A library audit is fixed-fee standalone work. It frequently establishes that you should produce less and reuse more, and you keep the findings either way.
