About Studio Lantern Solutions
A digital media and content production studio on Thatcher Avenue in Venice, working with brands across Los Angeles and Southern California.
Why we track shelf life
Studio Lantern Solutions was founded to make content that was still working six months after it shipped.
Our producers had all delivered quarterly batches of assets that were measured at launch and forgotten by week three. The metrics reported were views and completion in the first fortnight, which describe a launch rather than a piece of content.
Nobody looks past the launch window. By the time an asset has stopped earning attention the team has moved to the next batch, and the question of whether it was worth making is never asked.
Volume briefs make it worse. A quantity set by a calendar rather than by need produces pieces that exist to fill slots, and a production agency paid per piece has no reason to question the number.
So we track every asset for twelve months and report useful life honestly, including the roughly one in three that is effectively finished inside three weeks.
How we plan production
Lifespan is agreed per asset before a shoot. A piece that must work for a year is lit, structured and written differently to one supporting a two-week launch.
One shoot day produces several lifespans. Modular planning yields a flagship piece plus supporting cuts that outlive the campaign, rather than a batch that expires together.
Your library is audited first. On a meaningful share of briefs the right answer is organising and reusing what you already own, which costs a fraction of new production.
Raw footage and full resolution files transfer to you. Not selects and exports only, so another studio can recut the material without reshooting it.
